THE PERFECT WARDROBE PIECES

 

It’s hard to know what the perfect wardrobe should consist of, trust me I’m still trying to figure it out, and I think I’m getting close. So here is my opinion:

1. A leather jacket, dressed up, dressed down, it works well with everything. (In the photo: Balenciaga leather jacket)

2. A simple white t-shirt, with the perfect fit and good fabric. (In the photo: Emporio Armani Homme t-shirt)

3. The jeans have to be PERFECT, fit, wash, everything!

4. The simple white shirt/blouse is a piece you always can put on when in doubt! (In the photo: Acne shirt)

5. You can never go wrong with a great knit and jeans. (In the photo: Isabel Marant knit)

Today the sun was out, but the temperature was still low, so I wore my cotton sweater dress from T by Alexander Wang, it is so comfy and perfect for today’s weather!

On my desk today, British Vogue August issue, my iPad and Moleskine agenda, Vogue Collections and StyleBy Magazine with notes in, hot-pink Smythson notebook! Now I have to leave for work..

DAILY ROUTINE

I wear makeup but hardly any. There are two reasons for this; 1. I’m not very good at applying a lot of it, 2. less is more in my opinion.

I love a natural makeup look, with hardly any mascara or eyeshadow. I apply Bobbi Brown powder to my face, and a blush that really gives me a fresh look, for the eyes I rarely wear mascara during the day but put a bit of chocolate brown Chanel eyeshadow on my lash line to make my eyes pop a little!

The tie dye jeans are back in style. When Isabel Marant created a collection full of tie dye jeans, it immediately became a hit! Well of course, after all it is Isabel Marant. I, as many others, fell in love with the trend, finding a great pair of look-a-likes at Zara (top photo). I’ve been wearing them a lot, and love them. Worn with a simple t-shirt and converse or strappy sandals as seen on blogger Elin Kling in the photos above (she’s wearing THE Isabel Marant jeans) the jeans make a statement of their own.

Details of what I wore yesterday. In Oslo it’s freezing even though these are the last days of July, therefore I’m in jeans..!
